Donald Marshall Markham, 89, of Comfort, passed away July 22, 2021 in Kerrville. He was born in Tatum, NM on November 17, 1931 to John and Ethel Markham.\r\n\r\nHe was a Navy Veteran of four years and served in the Korean War. He was head engineer at Kerrville State Hospital for 24 years. He was an active member of the Kendall County Cowboy Church of Comfort.\r\n\r\nDonald was preceded in death by his first wife, Donnie Markham and parents, John and Ethel Markham.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Alice Markham; daughter, DeDe Whan; sons, Daryl Markham (April), Darren Markham and Doug Markham; step-son, Gene New (Janet); 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dick Markham (Joyce).\r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Kendall County Cowboy, 605 FM 289, Comfort, TX 78013. A potluck dinner will follow the memorial service.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kendall County Cowboy Church Building Fund.
