Patricia Ann Kahla was born Patricia Ann Eckhart on August 5th 1964. Her passing was an unexpected tragedy that we couldn’t have prepared for, leaving us in shock and heart broken. Patricia was truly one of a kind and there will never be anyone quite like her. Those who knew her would agree she was one of the most kindhearted and enjoyable people to be around. Always finding comfort on her country porch swing with a cup of coffee in one hand and a good book in the other. With a contagious smile and laugh that could be heard around the world, Patricia’s time on this earth has been spent making those around her feel joyous and loved.
She relished in being a mother almost as much as she loved being a grandmother, as she was constantly spoiling the little ones and doting on her son in laws. She cherished her friendships no matter how far away they were, always making the time to text, call and write. There were no strangers to her, only potential friends. Her kindness shined through wherever she went and whatever she did. The first to volunteer to help those in need and always willing to put others first, Patricia was a true woman of God. We miss her dearly, more than we could ever express out loud, and understand this is also a very difficult time for others who loved her as well. There are too many heartwarming, laugh inducing and down right unforgettable moments shared with her to mention, but they will always be remembered.
She is survived by her daughters Heather (Kahla) Quiroga and Courtney (Kahla) Mattina, her son Clay Kahla, her grandchildren Bailey, Cody, Calvin and Layne, and her brothers Gary Eckhart and Byron Eckhart.
Service will be held January 29th at 10am at The First Baptist Church in Rocksprings, TX.
