Celerina “Sally” Abete, 86, of Kerrville, passed away on October 10, 2022 in Kerrville. She was born in Brownsville, TX to Alberto and Delores Abete on February 3, 1936.
She worked at Amherst Manor for 25 years as a nurse’s aide, Hilltop Village for 4 years, and Peterson Regional Medical Center from 1994 and retired in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Delores Abete; brothers, Alberto Jr. and Jesus Abete; and sister, Catalina Piedra.
Celerina is survived by her son, Christopher Abete (Joannie Rodriguez); her pride and joy, her granddaughter, Lenix Presley-R Abete; sisters, Maria Alvarez (Sisto), Helen Vela (Nick), Delores Garcia (Jose) and Jaine Sanchez; brother, Ruben Abete (Margaret); and sister-in-law, Andrea Abete.
Rosary will be held at 6 PM, Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Mass will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, October 17, 2022 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
