Florence Leona Stokely of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2022, in Virginia, at the age of 105. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

She had a variety of interests and passions that included homemaker, poet, Church volunteer, baker, quilter and an avid genealogy researcher.

Florence met her husband, Paul, when they worked at the War Department in Washington, DC during World War II. They had 4 children, Catherine Margaret Stokely (Connor), Joan Barbara Stokely, Kenneth George Stokely, and Patrick Mark Stokely (Joan R. Stokely).

She had 6 grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, David, Kristen, Christopher and Father John and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Stokely, and daughter, Catherine (Stokely) Connor.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on January 2, 2023 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, Texas with her grandson, Father John Stokely presiding, assisted by her son, Deacon Patrick Stokely.

Florence will be interred with her husband, Paul, at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Your mom was a reeeaL WHIPPER-SNAPPER!! She was really funny& I was very impressed that she was 'on the computer' when she was in her 100's!!

Ms. Stokely, I was sad to hear that she had passed& tried to get in touch with you& tell you how sorry I am.... Hope you are doing okay, Ms. Stokely.....
