Ruth Jonette (Taylor) Rawlins, 58, of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in San Antonio. She was born on August 17, 1964 in Kerrville, Texas to Marvin and Janice Taylor.
She graduated from Tivy High School in 1982.
After graduation, she moved to Houston to attend South Houston Bible Institute. She moved back to Kerrville where she met a former student of the Institute who was visiting Kerrville. Steve and Ruth dated and got married in Kerrville on October 16, 1993 and were happily married for 29 years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Janice Taylor; her brothers, David and Zachery; and her sister, Melody.
She is survived by her loving husband, Steve; her brother, Tollie (Beth); her sisters, Wanda, Esther (Pete), June, Sharon, Nancy and Andrea; her sister-in-law, Karen; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a member of Live Oak Church of Christ in Kerrville. She loved her family and getting together on the holidays. She loved her cat, Fluffy, and the color purple. She also loved singing, playing games and going to the movies. She enjoyed working for Ricks/Ashley Furniture for years.
Memorial services will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Live Oak Church of Christ, officiated by Todd Reichert.
