Yolanda Villanueva Davila, 71, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was born in Kerrville, to Jose R. Villanueva and Herlinda Villanueva on November 28, 1952. She married Jose Salinas Jr. in Corpus Christi, TX in 1978.

She attended Tivy High School. Throughout her life she worked offshore, as a UPS driver and lastly Corpus Christi Naval Air station where she retired after 20 years. Some of her best days were spent at work unlike others fueling jet planes and big trucks. Yolanda, but known to her family as Tia Nani lived a simple life. With a heart of gold, she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and enjoyed having a good time. Family was the most important thing to her and cherished spending the holidays with them. During this time, she shared her famous broccoli dressing that will be missed at Thanksgiving. One of her fondest memories was her childhood camping trips with her family. Some of her favorite things to do were playing Mexican bingo, listening to her record collection of oldies, her favorite song being Matilda. Her favorite cartoon character was Foghorn Leghorn, absolute favorite golfer was Freddy Couples. She was always quoting all the Fast and the Furious movies and could always be found lounging around in her favorite Chester Cheetos “show me the cheese” shirt. Finally, everyone knew she was inseparable from the love of her life, Jose, and they both adored their two dogs, Big Boy and Baby Girl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Villanueva; and her brother, Louie Villanueva.

Survived by her husband, Jose Salinas Jr.; her daughter and only child, Tommie V. Martinez (Jesse Martinez); sister-in-law, Connie Villanueva; brother, Nick Villanueva (Hilda Villanueva); three sisters, Velia Ayala (Robert), Teresita Gove (Scott) and Adelita Villanueva (Richard); grandchildren, Eric Gutierrez (Kassandra), Dominique Weatherall and Alexia Martinez; great-grandchildren, Evelynne Gutierrez and Averiana Gutierrez. She was adored by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Rosary will be held on March 3, 2024, at 6:00pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels by Deacon Jimmy Bill.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 4, 2024, at 9:30am at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Rafal Duda as celebrant. Burial to follow at Mountain View cemetery.
