"I lost my good friend, Gilbert Birdsong.
Gilbert and I worked together at Braniff Airlines until Braniff declared bankruptcy. We then both found new jobs at Piedmont Airlines and worked there until we retired but we kept in touch after that. Two of our kids (Laurie & Shane) had classes together at South Garland High School. Steve and Patrice got to meet Gilbert when he came to Dallas for a visit in 2023.
I will miss Gilbert's friendship and miss exchanging emails and phone calls! Your friend, Bernard Horton"
