Courtney Cheryl Cortez, 25, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Kerr County. She was born in San Antonio, TX to Daren and Loreta B. Cortez.
She was a graduate of Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, TX. She went on to get her Associate’s Degree from Northwest Vista College. She worked at Maurice’s Boutique in Kerrville, TX. She was a very devoted Christian and a member of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, TX. She was also an aspiring author with a published book.
Survivors include Daren and Loreta B. Cortez (parents), Lori R. Cortez (older sister), Danny and Gloria R. Cortez (paternal grandparents), Joan L. Cortez (paternal aunt), Daniel J. and Kim Cortez (paternal cousins), John A. Cortez (paternal cousin), Tim and Dana W. Bratcher (maternal grandparents), and Zach W. Bratcher (maternal uncle) and Seth A. and Ashley Bratcher (maternal uncle and aunt).
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Calvary Temple Church with Pastors Del Way and Joe Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The Family has been humbled and very blessed by family and friends as well as the whole community.
