"Doug and Sue are two of the reasons that Kerrville is a great place to live. They have given selflessly to our community by serving in so many roles. Doug was without a doubt a fine gentleman. I will miss his friendship, guidance and kindness. One of the really good guys has gone on ahead."

"Doug was the kind of person who made you feel steadier just by being in the room. He was a true Rotarian, a gentleman in both word and action, and someone whose integrity never wavered. Doug kept his word, showed up when it mattered, and was fiercely loyal—especially to the woman he loved so deeply, his wife, Sue. His quiet strength, kindness, and genuine care for others left a lasting mark on all of us who were fortunate to call him a friend. He will be deeply missed, but his example will stay with us always."
