Joy Ann (Peirce) Lozano, 82, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on December 2, 1943, in Detroit, MI, Joy was the daughter of John E. and Justine M. (Dunlop) Peirce.

Joy was a registered nurse for 50 years and worked in surgery and emergency departments in Michigan and Texas for most of that time. She will be remembered most for her thoughtful and caring nature.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Maureen Eberhardt and Patti Peirce.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Felipe Lozano; children, Jodi (Bob) Gagne, Sean (Kim) Falk and Phillip J. Lozano; grandchildren, Zane Gagne, Justine Weidel, Keely Garza, Colin Blackwood, Ian Falk, Nicholas Lozano, Phillip R. Lozano, and Natalie Lozano; brothers, Michael Peirce, John E Peirce II, and Dennis Peirce; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is planned at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, TX on Saturday, March 14th between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. The funeral service will follow on Sunday, March 15th at 2:00PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Soroptimist International of Monroe County.
