Jeffrey Paul Smith was born on December 9th, 1967 in Rockledge, Florida. He was the youngest of five children.

Jeff departed this world and went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 28th, 2026.

Jeff was born with a spirit of joy that few people have. He would light up the room wherever he went. If you ever were in trouble, Jeff was the first to show up, with a kind word and helping hand.

Jeff cared about people. He never met a stranger. He had a ton of friends, many from grade school and high school. He loved to dance, fish and drive around with Elvis blasting out of his truck.

Jeff married Alicia Heflin on December 16th, 2006. Their son, Noah James Smith, was born on August 14, 2012. Jeff was the happiest man on the planet the day Noah was born. He threw himself into fatherhood, coaching little league and attending practice and games of baseball and football.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Alicia Heflin Smith, son Noah James Smith, mother-in-law Tamara Heflin, his mother Marie Smith, sister Theresa Grant and her son Justin, brother John Smith and his wife Kristy, and their children Sean, Chad, Sarah, Amber, Jack and Cole, sister Eileen Day and her son Austin, and brother Michael Smith and his wife Julie and his daughter Jenna and her sons Ryan and Ty. He was predeceased by his father, John Edward Smith.

Funeral services will be held on to Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:00 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258. A memorial reception will follow the Mass in the Church Banquet Hall. Please feel free to attend both or just the reception. We will be having a slide show and there will be an opportunity to share memories of Jeff.

"On behalf of Kyle, Savannah, Joshua, and Julien, we want to give you our condolences and prayers for you and all. Smitty and I met through Wayne a lifetime and childhood friend. When he introduced Alicia to us all, our hearts were filled with joy! He was loved by Kyle who he nicked named Kifry and it’s today still a memory of him.
I pray for the pain will carried by God when it’s unbearable and to be healed. May Smitty’s memory always be a reminder of that beautiful smile and kind soul.
Our deepest condolences and sympathy during this difficult time,
Love Angela Vlasak & kids"
