Thomas Earl Hargrove, 79, passed away on April 2, 2026, at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Beaumont to Winfred and Ebbie Hargrove on February 4, 1947.
He attended South Park High School in Beaumont and graduated from Lamar University in 1969. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and completed pilot training. He was deployed to Thailand and flew operations in support of the Vietnam War. He served nine years in the Air Force and separated as a Captain. Tom and his family returned to Beaumont where Tom joined the flight department at Gulf States Utilities/Entergy where he flew executive aircraft and utility contingency missions. After retiring from Entergy in 2002, he would conclude his flying career supporting executive aircraft operations for Reaud, Morgan & Quinn, L.L.P.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Ebbie Hargrove, and his brother Dr. Harvey Randall.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Irvine Hargrove, his son Grant Hargrove, and his two granddaughters, Juliana and Cadence Hargrove. He is also survived by two nieces, Alison Navas and Beth Wilkinson, and two nephews, Paul Randall and Jonathan Randall.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 29th, at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, 601 W Creek St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624 with Rev. Jeff Hammond officiating.
