"I was saddened to see Rodger has passed away. Our families met many years ago back in the 60s. His sister Lola and her family lived uo the street from us. Lola became like a second mother to us kids along with her family. Even Rodger's mother claimed me as another grandchild and hand sewed many barbie doll clothes as well as her other granddaughter s that were close to my age. I treasure them to this day. My sister, Rose reminded me that we nicknamed Rodger Chester because he reminded us of the Chester that played on Gunsmoke back in the 60s. Good memories of Rodger,Lucille and the rest of family. God bless your family. Kathy."

"I loved Bishop Bonnet and his beautiful wife Lucille. I met them when I moved to Kerrville in 1998. He was such a wonderful man and a great example of what a man should be. He was a shining star in my life as with all that knew him. All of us sisters looked forward to his wonderful hugs every Sunday morning. His smile lit up the room every time he walked in. He will be missed so much by everyone who knew him. I am so happy that he is once again with his beloved wife, Lucille. I’m the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"
