Robert Rocha Gonzales, 98, of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Kerrville. He was born May 7, 1927, in Hebbronville, TX to Thomas and Andrea Rocha Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margarita; son, Robert Gonzales Jr.; step-sons, Alejandro Martinez and Rogelio Martinez; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife, Clementina Gonzales; children, Pete (Esther) Gonzales, Dora (Alfredo) Bill, Susie (Lupe) Sierra, Virginia (Jose) Cervantes, Paul Gonzales and Pauline (Richard) Armendariz; step-children, Manuel (Virginia) Martinez, Maggie Barrientes, Rachel Martinez and Mario Martinez; 49 grandchildren; 115 great-grandchildren; and 53 great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 6 PM, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill and Deacon Richard Armendariz.
Mass will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, with Bishop Mike Boulette as celebrant. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Gonzales, Manuel Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Richard Bill, Steve Gonzales and Isaiah Gonzales. The second set of pallbearers will be Marcus Martinez, Micheal Martinez, Trueman Brown III, Joseph Cervantes, Micheal Gonzales and James Bill.
