Kelly Michael Wren, 56, passed away on May 16, 2026 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on June 4, 1969 in Kerrville, Texas, to Michael (Mike) and Marilyn Galle Wren. He married Tammy Panzer Wren on May 17, 1997 in Kerrville, Texas.
Kelly was a faithful Christian - he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and genuinely enjoyed sharing that love with others. He loved to open doors for others to know his savior more by praying for someone, sharing scripture or inviting someone to Bible study.
Kelly was a kind, compassionate, and generous man. He was always willing to help family and friends and most certainly pray for anyone at any time.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing and team roping, but team roping was his passion. Roping brought him many years of joy, and life long friends. He loved his family dearly and was able to share these hobbies alongside them as well. Kelly was very well known by those that knew him as a prankster, using every opportunity to make people laugh. Kelly had a joy for life and love for others!
Whether roping with his brothers, friends or his son, Carson; fishing with Carlee, hunting with nephews or preparing meals with Tammy, he loved being with those he loved.
He was a lifelong resident of Kerrville, and attended Tivy High School. After high school, he went to college at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. He was employed by Rockscapes, LLC In Kerrville for 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sylvia Wren, his maternal grandmother, Clara Galle, his uncle, Carey Galle, Jr., and his Uncle William H. Bonney.
Survivors include Tammy Panzer Wren, his spouse; his son, Carson Wren, and daughter, Carlee Wren; his brothers, Tom Wren (Kendra Wren), Brady Wren (Rachel); his parents, Michael and Marilyn Wren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21st, at Grimes Funeral Chapel.
A celebration of his life will be held at Calvary Temple Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22nd, with Pastor Del Way officiating.
Pallbearers will be Carson Wren, Tom Wren, Tucker Wren, Brady Wren, Cary Panzer, and Zachary Panzer.
