Gerardo Reyes Balderas, 49, of Fredericksburg, Texas, entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and the grace of God.

Gerardo was born on August 14, 1976, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, to José Reyes Balderas and María Alicia Delgado. He carried throughout his life a deep love for his family, a strong work ethic, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him.

On May 15, 1999, he married the love of his life, Guillermina Neri de Balderas. Together they built a life centered on faith, devotion, and family. Gerardo was a loving husband, a proud father, a cherished son, and a loyal brother whose greatest joy came from caring for those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Guillermina Balderas; his children, Gerry Ozziel Balderas, Sady Castro, and Aaron Castro; his mother, María Alicia Delgado; his siblings, Ubaldo Balderas, Alicia Balderas, and Octavio Balderas; and many beloved nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory.

Gerardo was preceded in death by his father, José Reyes Balderas.

Those who knew Gerardo will remember his kindness, his quiet strength, his dedication to his family, and the warmth of his presence. His life was a testament to love, perseverance, and faith. Though his time on earth was far too short, the legacy he leaves behind will continue through the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.

As we mourn his passing, we find comfort in the promise of Christ:

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”

— John 11:25

And in the words of Psalm 23:

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”

May these words bring peace to all who grieve and hope in the promise of eternal life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who provided care, support, prayers, and comfort to Gerardo and his loved ones during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

May Gerardo Reyes Balderas rest in the peace and eternal love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
