David Ploch, 52, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
David devoted 20 years of his life to serving the United States as a Green Beret, completing 14 deployments throughout his distinguished military career. His service reflected extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to defending his country. He was, in every sense, a true American hero.
Beyond the uniform, David was a father, a husband, and a protector. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and packed more experiences into 52 years than many could in a lifetime. He faced life’s battles with resilience and determination, leaving an enduring mark on all who knew him.
David is survived by his sons, Sam, Abram, and Christian; his loving wife, Sarah Ploch; and the fourth child they were joyfully expecting together. Sarah humbly asks for continued prayers for protection, peace, and good health throughout her pregnancy as she carries forward the beautiful legacy David leaves behind.
David’s memory will live on through his children, his wife, his brothers-in-arms, and the countless lives touched by his courage, humor, dad jokes, and steadfast love.
Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy of service, sacrifice, and devotion will never be forgotten.

Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Graveside services will be held at 1:45 PM, Monday, July 20, 2026, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, with military honors.
