Elizabeth Ann “Beth” King was born on November 24, 1968, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 17, 2026, at the age of 57 in Kerrville, Texas. She was the daughter of Richard and Pat King of Kerrville. She grew up in Wharton, Texas and graduated from Wharton High School in 1987.

She worked as an Intermediate EMT, as a Veterinary Technician, and in various areas of insurance before establishing her business, “Aunt B Critter Sitter” in 2013. Her clients knew their pets were not only safe in her care but genuinely loved. Along the way she collected countless stories and pet adventures that reflected both her humor and generous heart.

Beth embraced life with curiosity and an adventurous spirit. She was amazed by all living creatures, some of which most people would kill with a swat. She collected fossils, shells, antlers, bones and other natural curiosities. She loved a good ghost story or unsolved mystery or tale of psychic experience. Whether she was turning the pages of a favorite book, casting a fishing line, combing a beach, caring for an animal, searching for aliens in the skies or Bigfoot in the woods, she did it with passion.

Beth loved her family and was an inspiration to each of us. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Pat King of Kerrville; brothers, Steven King and wife Karen-Anne of Kerrville, Christopher King of New Braunfels and David King and wife Stephanie of Jarrell; nieces, Bella Grace King, Hailey Hope King and nephew, Benjamin Wright King all of Kerrville; her Aunt Claire Jordan of Huntsville and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Boy and Pepper.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson St., Kerrville. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Peterson Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice or Kerrville Pets Alive.

"I met Beth years ago through Facebook. She joined my community and was always such a positive light there. So, one day I reached out to thank her for bringing something special to my community and we've stayed in touch since. We've never met in person, but Beth is definitely someone special to me and I'll always remember her kindness and support. I'm gonna miss you Beth!"
