Maria Ayala Garza born January 3, 1925, went to be with our Heavenly Father, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 92 years in a local hospital.
Maria was a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church. She graduated from Tivy High School in 1945 and as recent as this past October, attended her 72nd Class Reunion.
Her huge knowledge of Kerrville and Kerr County will be greatly missed. If anyone needed to know who or how things happened many years ago in the Hill Country, family members locally and from other states would call her very often to inquire information pertaining to Kerrville or the Hill Country. She was a walking "Historical Book."
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, G.A. "Tules" Garza; brothers, Manuel "Ciro" Ayala, Jr. and Joe S. Ayala; her parents; as well as a grandson, Donnie Badeaux, III.
Maria is survived by her children, Ernest (Cecilia) Garza, Irma (Mike) Guerrero, Jr., Teresa (Mike) Parman and Eloy (Tammy) Garza; grandchildren, Debra Jean (Donnie) Badeaux, Mark Guerrero, Michelle (John) Moreno, Toby (Wendy) Garza, Amber (Tommy) Rodriquez, Jonathan (Caroline) Garza, Krystal Klein, Ashley (Jeff) Richards and Angie Garza; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Ayala; several nieces and nephews; and extended family members, Clint Lindner and Brian Parks.
Mother, Grandma Garza, known to many, will be dearly missed by all and always remembered.
Rosary will held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Mass will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father David Wagner as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
