Rebecca Lynn Lear, 50, passed away on November 2, 2022, in Bandera, Texas.

Becca was born on December 18, 1971, to Thomas and Diann Lear in Galesburg, Illinois. After she graduated from A&M Consolidated High School, she went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas.

She was hardworking and took great pride in her work. She was employed by AT&T for many years and developed close working relationships with colleagues along the way. While Becca wore many hats during the years (including a pink hardhat), she was serving as software quality assurance engineer at the time of her passing.

Becca held deep respect for our nation's Veterans and current service members. She was actively involved in the American Legion Auxiliary and held an officer position as the Historian.

Becca was preceded in death by her dad, Thomas Lear, and bonus dad, Donald Radke.

Becca is survived by her mother, Diann Radke; partner and best friend, Joey Bess; sister, Lori Wood (husband Tracy); brother, James Lear (wife Sharla); sister, Cathy Brandstetter (husband Ed); brother, Joe Radke (wife Carol); sister, Dawna Anderson; brother, Todd Radke; brother, Tim Radke (wife Tracy); and many nieces and nephews.

Becca loved her fur babies, her Ragdoll cats, Austen and Charlotte, and her dogs, Emma and Legion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kerrville Pets Alive https://kerrvillepetsalive.com or Veterans organization, or any program close to your heart.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Saturday November 19th, 2022, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Frankie Enloe officiating.

Lori, Tracy & Becca’s family, My heart goes out to you on the day you do what no family should have to do, say goodbye to a Sister, Aunt, Daughter, Partner & Best Friend. Diann, the loss of a child is something no parent is prepared to face, we never think they will go before us, it is a grief like no other. Lori I’ve witnessed your strength & sadness, I wish there was a way to help you struggle through the loss of your sister. Although our lives have been intertwined so many, many years I didn’t know Becca well, but I do know how she loved her furbabies, her nieces & nephews, siblings, parents, best friend and those she held close to her heart. Be at peace knowing Becca is still with you, just in a different manner.

I didn't know Becca well but always enjoyed her boundless energy. Her natural beauty, combined with her white glowing aura, lit up a room like a full moon. A complete joy to be around.
Godspeed sweet lady, I know you will always be loved and missed deeply.

I've thought about Becca many times throughout the years and I'm deeply saddened to hear of hear passing! Many of my silliest childhood memories were with Becca – endlessly watching MTV videos afterschool while choreographing dances, skating at Pooh’s Park, chasing boys, playing softball and more sleepovers than I could count! I wish I would’ve worked harder to make contact with Becca. My deepest condolences to Becca’s family and friends!

I was deeply sadden to learn of Becca's passing. She and I had a unique, loving and understanding friendship. I, as many, are still in a state of shock after learning of her passing.

I am grateful for the MANY years we spent together. The good times, the bad times and even the sad times. You were always vivacious with a infectious personality....that will always remain in my heart and my soul.

I know you have carried that with you to the your new HOME and

I always looked forward to Becca visiting West Virginia with my son, Joey. She was such a thoughtful, kind, and helpful person. Always watching out for me. She gladly took on the chore of researching and ordering items from my wish list... to be sure I received from the family the perfect birthday and Christmas gifts. A big heart! Texting and sending pics. Her passing will leave a void in many lives. Love and prayers to Becca's Texas family and friends.

I learned of Becca’s passing a few days ago. Life and time pass us by so quickly. I wanted to take a moment and express my condolences.

Separated by 6 days at birth Becca and I grew up together in College Station. She was the first girl to take a serious interest in me while in High School. I’m forever thankful for her friendship and time we shared. She had an impact on me that I never had a chance to thank her for.

She crossed my mind from time to time and even as recently as when Loretta Lynn passed. I always remembered Rebecca Lynn. I had not seen or spoken to her since High School although I did search for her a few times over the years.
I can’t explain how bittersweet it is to encounter her obituary online. I had not seen her and it is so nice to read about the impact she had on her friends, family, coworkers and pets. May she Rest In Peace. My thoughts and Prayers to her friends and Family, Thank you for your friendship Becca. Until we meet again.

I was friends with Rebecca through her coworkers at AT& T. She could light up a room with kindness and laughter. She knew that I liked lady bugs because they reminded me of my grandmother. Patsy came home from work one day and Rebecca had made me a lady bug bracelet. She was so sweet to remember me, that was her essence. So sorry for the loss of such a good person and grateful I knew her. God bless her family and friends.

It is so saddening to hear about Becca's passing. I met her on my first day as a "new kid" at a new school in the middle of my 8th grade year (she was in 7th). I only knew 1 other kid at that school (David Rierson), but he wasn't in my lunch group. She saw me sitting alone, and came to sit with me. I appreciated that so much, but I doubt I told her. I was intimidated by her beauty.

We lost touch after high school, but I tried finding her on social media a couple times without success. However, after adding "Bandera" to the search criteria today, it seems that she might have lived 5-7 miles from me from 2005-2020 (in Plano). It's not much of a stretch to think that our paths might have crossed during that time.

Becca, you are missed.

I was shocked to hear of Becca's passing. I'm so sorry and feeling for you all. My favorite memory of Becca is in her little cheerleading outfit that matched Christi's. I think I still have a picture of her in it. God bless you all at this tragic time.

My deepest condolences to the family. I am truly saddened by my friend/colleague Rebecca's passing. We have been working together for many years both at AT&T and AMDOCS. She always had a positive upbeat attitude at work and willing always to go that extra mile. I loved my visits to Texas when we could catch a dinner and discuss life. She had an infectious personality that drew you in. A special person, beautiful inside as well as outside. I will miss her very much.
