Margie Louise Robinett, 90, of Kerrville, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 27, 1932 in Blakeney, Texas, to Johnnie and Susie (Covington) Pruitt. She married Donald Robinett on December 22, 1948 in Clarksville, Texas.

One of 7 kids, Margie grew up in rural northeast Texas in the small community of Blakeney, washing clothes on a wash board and picking cotton.

Margie and Donald grew up together in the east Texas piney woods, not living too far apart. They were married as youngsters. He was 17 and she only 16. They were together 74 years.

Margie was the quintessential housewife. She kept a wonderful home and was a great seamstress for her daughter. She was always available to keep her grandkids whenever needed. She would talk to a fence post! That made her a wonderful greeter for many years at First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Robinett of Kerrville, Texas; children, Larry and Deedee Robinett of Poteet, Texas and Carol and Don Stehling of Kerrville, Texas; grandchildren, Josh, Ashley Wahrmund, Katie Austin, Megan Burris, Kristen Stehling and Tiffany Schott; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Printes Pruitt; sisters, Mag Skinner and Sally Radford Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Donald and family,
my condolences to you and your family. Margie was such a nice lady. She had such a great sense of humor. She asked me if I could bring a bowl of banana pudding for a luncheon after a funeral service at our church, and I did. Days later
she told me that I had forgotten to put the bananas in the pudding. The expression on my face caused her to laugh so hard then tells me she was kidding.
Prayers for the family in the days ahead.

Dear Carol,
Please know I am sad for you and your family but the memories of us all in our little neighborhood of long ago, revolved around this wonderful mother of yours. I am most respectfully yours, kk
