Gladys Mae Fox, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the evening of October 20th, 2023 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Calexico, California to Andy and Edna Robison on January 14, 1933, she was one of seven children. Gladys married Thomas Fox on November 13, 1977, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gladys lived in California most of her life where she graduated high school from Imperial Valley Union High School on June 9, 1950. In school she was active in the Athletics Program, Future Homemakers of America, and Advertising Manager of the Oasis (Yearbook) Staff. After high school she worked as an Optometrist Assistant for many years. She also was an avid member of the Moose Lodge 561 where she won numerous awards for her work. She enjoyed going to Walmart to people-watch as well as shopping, browsing the aisles of her favorite stores, searching for the perfect bargain. She also loved tending to her garden and snapping sugar snap peas.

Gladys and Tom moved to Texas in 2009 where she volunteered at Sid Peterson Hospital and attended First Baptist Church. She was loved by all who knew her for her beautiful smile and the best biscuits and gravy and chocolate pie! "There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts." Loving you forever.

Gladys was preceded in death by her father, Andy; mother, Edna; brother, Monroe; and grandson, Jason.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Fox; children, Fred Beaver (Rita), Karen Sharp, and Ronda Beaver-Forrest (Dan); stepchildren, Diane Bucceri, Thomas Fox, and Catherine Embaby; siblings, June Brand, Gene Robison, Andy Leroy Robison, Willard Robison, and Linda Robison Floyd; grandchildren, Robert, Christina (Danny), Shannon (Ramon), Randy (Megan), Jill (Jeremy), Deanna (Halston), Nicholas, Joseph, Amanda, Alicia, and Michael; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A remembrance service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with John Owens officiating. In honor of Gladys and her favorite color, the family requests everyone wear red to the service. Small reception to follow in the chapel.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Sid Peterson Hospice, as well as the staff at River Hills Rehab for their exceptional care and love given to Gladys.
