Pop was a devout Catholic that attended church daily. He faithfully visited his wife Antonia and son Camillo at the cemetery. He missed them dearly. Pop was so devoted to his family.
He spent many of his past days working in his business of concrete construction, where his sons and grandsons had the opportunity to work with him. They always talk about how our Pop was a different person at work where they bonded with him while he cracked jokes making the work day quickly disappear.
He loved going to his sister's home every day to visit and laugh with his siblings, enjoying their pan dulce and cafecito.
He was our beloved Pop, our Superman, and as he would state, ''strong enough to kill a hog.'' He was always trying to discreetly go into the kitchen looking for ice cream and other munchies and we would all giggle when we would catch him. He loved cruising around visiting all of us. We were always greeted by Pop's big smile when we walked into his room. He was always sitting in his recliner with his rosary in his hands, his candles lit for his ''santitas,'' watching EWTN and old western shows.
We will greatly miss sitting on the patio talking, laughing, and dancing with our Pop. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Reyna Lopez; son, Camillo Lopez; daughter, Maria Sanchez; brothers, Julian Lopez Jr., Alfredo, Felipe, Louis, Lorenzo, and Adolfo; his only sister, Sista Davila; and parents, Antonia R. and Julian Lopez.
He is survived by sons, Ignacio Lopez Jr., Danny Lopez (Carolyn), Ramiro Lopez, and Jesse Sanchez (Pamela); daughters, Cecilia Lopez, Susie Moreno, Lupe R. Virgin, Annie Calderon, Ramona Sanchez, and Tony Torres (Domingo); brothers, Ramon Lopez (Cynthia), Tony Lopez (Nell); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 6PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Mass will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, December 1, 2023, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, officiated by Father Rafal Duda. Burial will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derrik Woodard, Antonio Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Salvador Ybarra, Kayden Lara, Mario Blanco, Cameron Morales, and Brendon Morales.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Walters, Peterson Hospice, and the wonderful staff at Peterson Regional Medical Center.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he was a wonderful man, always church going but a good family man and he welcomed so many people I spent a lot of time growing up there at his home. He will be missed, many prayers for his family.

My sympathy and condolences. Longtime friendships and acquaintances with many family members.
And I was inspired and admired that he went to church every day like Vince Lombardi and Don Shula did.
At this time scheduling will not allow me to make either service.
Regards to all of the extended family.
