Sorry to learn this. During my time as an Extension Beef Cattle Specialist, I spent a good deal of time getting to know Jack. We once rode together to a Southeast livestock specialist regional meeting at Mississippi State University. Went by the college in Jackson MS where he did some flight training of some sort. That was a great trip with plenty of time to get to know him better. He was a great guy.

I am appreciative and enjoyed a multigenerational relationship in the Lamb, Wool, and Goat Industries, Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers Association, and the Mohair Council of America with Mr. and Mrs. Groff. Mr. Groff was a respected and renowned expert on all aspects of those industries both domestically and internationally. From the ranch shearing floor to the New York, Paris, and Milan Fashion Runways. And from the ranch to the tables of the most expensive restaurants in the world.

And have enjoyed 58 years of being classmate, teammate, and friends with Fred.

My Regards, Sympathy, and Condolences,
