Mary Kay Graham-Gilbert of Harper, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 9, 2023, watched over by her loving husband of many years, Leo Gilbert. Born in Ohio, she finished school and college in Florida before moving to California and finally Texas, where she and Leo built their forever home. Along the way, she used her skills in positions at a bank, Martin-Marietta in Florida, and USAA in San Antonio as well as working as an independent consultant. Kay was always close to her parents, Earl and Tillie Graham, who followed her to Texas. She made sure they were cared for and their lives were happy. She was very active in the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville as long as she was able.

Kay was preceded in death by her father, Earl Graham, in 2012. Survivors include spouse, Leo Gilbert; sister, Anna Graham (Fred Wolf); sister, Rose Little (Tim Little); and mother, Tillie Graham. Also left behind are nephews Ron Nutter, Bud Nutter and Andy Nyerges (Emunah Hauser) and their children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, with Rosary following at 6 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Deacon Hernandez presiding. Burial will follow at the St. Anthony Catholic Church cemetery in Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or other organization doing cancer research or support for cancer victims.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Rebecca E. Barrington and the staff at Texas Oncology-Kerrville for their caring and medical support for Kay.

I met Kay when we lived in Kerrville - she was my ACTS sister and served with me on Team in 2010. She had a beautiful soul and was loving and giving - I will miss her and the love she shared with others. I know that she is smiling down on us and keeping a watchful eye on those she left behind. Love and miss you Kay … God’s good - All the time ❤️
