Cecil Ray Perkins, of Ingram, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 15th, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Haslet, Texas on April 20th, 1939.

Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Cecil also served his community as a police office and loved the work he also did for the Fort Worth Stock Show for many years. He was a tour bus driver where he met his beloved Patrica Perkins. Cecil and Patricia were married on June 20th, 2005.

Cecil and Patti also proudly served their community by delivering Meals on Wheels to the needy and elderly in their area. Cecil was a jolly, happy, servant at heart. To know Cecil was to love him. He will be deeply missed by his family and community.

Cecil was preceded in death by father, Alvin T. Perkins; mother, Ruby L. Perkins; late spouse, Edie Perkins; and daughter, Terri Perkins Bregenzer.

Cecil is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Perkins; daughter, Joyce Lancaster; brothers and sisters, Bobbie Feldman, Joann McDonald, Charles Perkins and Donald Counts; grandchildren, Brian and Alex Bregenzer, their father Mark Bregenzer, Dena Behringer and husband Randy and children, Eugene Phillips and wife Denise and children, Meloney Yates, Eric Joy and his father, James Joy; and other loving grandchildren and their families. He is also survived by many caring and wonderful friends and neighbors in their community.

Funeral will begin directly at 2:00 PM with the military honors flag ceremony on Friday December 22, 2023, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson St., Kerrville, Texas.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses of Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital of San Antonio for the great care they provided.
