Susie Glee Jordan, age 63, passed away on December 21, 2023. She was welcomed home by her heavenly Father and greeted by those gone before.

Susie was born on July 3, 1960 in San Angelo Texas. She met the love of her life John Jordan in 1985. John, recently divorced, was a single parent to Stuart Allen Jordan. John and Susie married in January of 1986 and Susie formally adopted Stuart. They're family grew a little more with the addition of a beautiful daughter Caroline Adelia Jordan born on July 17th of 1988.

The family made Art, Texas their home. Susie served in the United Methodist Womens at Art Methodist Church for many years. She was involved in the community and was a huge supporter of cancer research. Susie was a 27 year breast cancer survivor and often participated in various cancer benefits. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and doing the annual Christmas play with her good friends from the Art Church. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her sweet demeanor and warm smile will be remembered by everyone that knew her.

Susie had been in a memory care unit in New Braunfels Texas for the past 15 months due to dementia. She was always cheerful, and even though speech was difficult due to aphasia, she always had a smile. She loved Jesus, and was always happy to see her grandchildren when they would visit. She passed peacefully in her sleep after contracting pneumonia.

Susie is survived by her children, Stuart and wife Julia Jordan of Art and Caroline Jordan (Del Toro), and Darron Del Toro; grandchildren, Jack Sterling Jordan, Nadia Carlita Jordan, Piper Adelia Jordan (Del Toro) and Daxton John Del Toro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Thigpen; mother, Charlie Thigpen; father-in-law, Sterling Jordan; mother-in-law, Carlita Jordan; sister and best friend, Debbie Troncoso.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2 p.m., at the Art Methodist Church in Art TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ministry organizations or cancer charities of your choosing.
