Myra Beth (Thurman) Golemon, 74, of San Antonio, passed away December 23, 2023, in Live Oak.

She was born in Kerrville, on February 3, 1949, to Vernon W. Thurman and Florence Lydia Woerner. She married James Stephen ''Steve'' Golemon on February 3, 1968, in Kerrville, TX.

Myra graduated from Tivy High School, class of 1967. She was a teacher assistant for many years until her health no longer allowed her. She was a strong, Christian woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon W. Thurman and Florence Thurman; her husband, James Stephen ''Steve'' Golemon; and daughter, Mendi Tre Golemon.

Survivors include her two children, Thurman Golemon of Tomball and Alisa Kaye Edwards and Verricco Edwards of San Antonio; sister, Patricia McHam and James McHam of Burnet; sister, Nancy Rees and David Rees of Center Point; sister, Jeanne Loya and David Loya of San Antonio; brother, Vernon ''Rusty'' Thurman and Elaine Thurman of Granite Shoals; brother-in-law, Ronald Kinnan Golemon and Jaqueline Golemon of Austin; and one grandchild, McKenzie Owens of San Antonio.

Services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, officiated by Mark Wilson. Graveside services will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rodney Mattingly, Mario Moreno, Doug Parke, Dennis Prestwood, Dennis Raesener, and Ryan Turner.
