Calvin Fisher Curry of Ingram, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2024, at home. He was born in Beeville, Texas to David Crockett and Lila Etta Massey Curry on July 25, 1944. He married Joan Oestreich on June 1, 1968, in Fredericksburg, Texas.

He went to school at Fredericksburg Public, Fredericksburg, Texas. He graduated from Fredericksburg High School. He worked as a farmer/rancher for years and was awarded from Gillespie County Hay Shows first place and winning at National Hay shows. He was a member of First Baptist of Fredericksburg.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Joseph and Irene Oestreich; sister, Kay F. Curry Coleman; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Linda Griffin; and niece, Shari Oestreich.

Survivors include wife, Joan Curry of Ingram, Texas; son, David Curry of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Susan Curry of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughters, Kendall Pollok of Chicago, Illinois and Halle Pollok of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Dwight and Karen Oestreich; sister-in-law, Joreen and Douglas Wehmeyer; nieces, Michele Carlile of Dallas, Melissa Reedy of Missouri; nephews, Brett and Connie Oestreich of Virginia and Jimmie and Audrey Wehmeyer of Dripping Springs, Texas.

There will be no services held at this time. A private family burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Willow City Cemetery, Willow City, Texas or to Shari Oestreich Foundation, Fredericksburg, Texas.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Nancy Thompson and the Fredericksburg Cancer Center.
