Frank Key Hopper, age 88, of San Antonio, passed away Feb. 12, 2024 in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Paris, MO to Louis and Katherine Hopper on July 23, 1935. He was married to Eva Hopper on Dec. 20, 1958 in Odessa, TX.

Frank completed school in Missouri, studying three years at the University of Missouri. He joined the United States Air Force, 1959-1968. He also served in the US Air Force Reserves, activated for Desert Storm in the 483rd Medical Evac Unit.

In the Veteran's Administration, he worked as a veterans hospital administrator in Castle Point, NY, Leavenworth, KS, Kerrville, TX, Houston, TX, and retired from Audie Murphy in San Antonio, TX.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Hopper; two brothers, Jerry Hopper and James Hopper; his son-in-law, Roger Wigfield; and his parents.

Frank is survived by his brother, Edward Hopper (Ruth) who resides in Concord, NC; his daughter, Debra K. Hopper Suing; and stepchildren, Christine Wigfield and Rey Hernandez (Michelle). He has six grandchildren, Dona Suing, Kevin Perkins, Nick Perkins (Rachel), Joe Hernandez, Ann Hernandez and Jake Hernandez. There are seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will celebrate Frank at St. Matthews Catholic Church on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be attended by family at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
