William Tandy Hudson, 74, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 11th, in San Antonio. He was born in Pecos, Texas, to Harlan Rowen Hudson Jr. and Peggy Naomi Hudson.

Bill, known affectionately as Tandy by his friends and family, embarked on a journey filled with adventure and purpose. He attended Texas Christian University during his college years and proudly served in the Army Reserves. Tandy's professional life was marked by a long and successful career in real estate and construction. He thrived on the thrill of striking business deals and was renowned for his daring spirit, always willing to take risks.

Tandy was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Rowen Hudson Jr., and his mother, Peggy Naomi Hudson.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and longtime partner, Michelle Billeiter Hoefs. Tandy's legacy lives on through his daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Tye Espanet, and Casey and Kyle Hege. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Gabe Menchaca, Mia Menchaca, Hudson Hege, and Charlotte Hege, who brought him immeasurable joy. He will be deeply missed by his sisters and their spouses, Anne and Jay Starnes, and Janie and Blake Andrews as well as his niece, Kate Williams, and her husband Quaylan Williams, his nephew, Kyle Andrews, and his wife Erin, and his niece, Kendall Andrews. He is also survived by Michelle's sister, Rachel Tarin, and her husband, Victor Tarin.

Tandy's life was enriched by his passions. He was an avid fan of sports, particularly his alma mater's teams, and cherished spending time on his ranch surrounded by animals. Bill was my boss as well as a friend before I began working for him in 1985. He was a good friend of my whole family for many years. I will sure miss him as we kept in touch once or twice a year. He always sounded so happy and content with life. We’d joke about earlier times but it sounded like he loved life with Michelle and living on the land in the Kerrville area. This world is missing one of my favorite friends and funny characters. I’ll think of Tandy and smile often.
