Billy Floyd Elgin, age 87, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away April 10th, 2024 in his home. He was born March 11, 1937 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He was the son of Julian Harold Elgin and Thelma Mae Magness.
He is survived by his life partner, Dianne Williams; his sons, Mitchel, Christopher, and William Elgin; and his grandchildren, Chance and Corbin Elgin.
He attended Lafayette High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. Once graduated, Bill pursued a career with Dressser Macgobar working world wide in the oilfield mud industry and later started his own oilfield mud company in West Texas. Following his experience in the oil field, he established a career in real estate in New Mexico. On retiring, Bill spent his passion for fly fishing splitting his fishing excursions between Central Colorado and the Texas Gulf Coast.

I knew Billy well in New Mexico we hunted and snd fly fished together. He was a good man and good companion. We both sold real estate in Taos though that was not our primary reason for being there. Good humored, I’ll miss him. Ken Kelly
