Donald Gene Young, 56, passed away on May 17, 2024 in Kerrville TX. He was born in Crosby County, TX to Walter Leon Young and Mother Frances Ann McCauley. He married Brenda Maria Gomez on April 24th, 2010 in Kerrville, TX.

He graduated from Tarrant County Junior College. He was an accomplished mechanic working early in life in the aircraft industry and continued in the automotive industry for most of his adult life. His attention to detail and his work ethic showed through on every project he undertook.

He is survived by, his loving wife, Brenda Young; daughter, Sara Young in addition to his children, Alyssa Gomez and fiancé Agustin Flores Gandara; sons, Cristian Castorena and Rene Castorena; as well as his loving grandchildren, Ashlyn, Graciella, Uriel, and Gabriel; father, Walter Leon Young and caring step-mother Tommy Young; Brother, Ronald Young, his wife Leslie Young; nephews Garrette and Tyler Young.

Donald will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his dedication to his principles and the incredible amount of love and kindness he showed his family each and every day. He was a talented and passionate man admired by many and will be missed tremendously.

A small family service will be held as a celebration of life on June 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
