Marvel graduated from Junction High School in 1954 where the Junction Eagle Band was her special interest. She attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College on a band Scholarship, however transferred to the University of Texas her sophomore year and graduated in 1960. Marvel moved to Kerrville and taught typing and shorthand at Tivy for 2 years.
In 1962, she met the love of her life, Bo Moss, who was a police Sergeant for the Kerrville Police Department and were married three months later. This marriage was blessed with two children, Marvin Walter (Dot) Moss and Anna Laura Moss. With her father's passing in 1967, she inherited the ranch and she, Bo and their children continued to operate it as well as the family business.
Marvel's family was so precious to her. She loved being a huge part of her grandchildren's lives; Ryan (Moss), Ashley (Mc Cormick), and Leeann (Broach) spent special time with their Gigi. Each grandchild held a very special place in her heart--some she cooked with, some she hunted with and some she loved to work puzzles with. Marvel also was able to enjoy being a great-grandmother to Emma and Nolan Moss and Beau Mc Cormick.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 28, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Tom Frenzel officiating. A private burial will be at the family cemetery at the Skaggs Ranch in Junction.
Pallbearers will be Michael Felts, Edward Felts, Ryan Moss, Kyle Mc Cormick, Gary Broach and David Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Low, Charlie Dobbs, Rob Roy Spiller and Casey Goodman.

What a beautiful light she brought to our lives. Thoughtful, kind and strong as they come. She was truly your matriarch - giver of love and generous of spirit. Much love to her family as you mourn her earthly passing yet rejoice in her heavenly reception.

We never had the opportunity to meet Mrs Moss, but heard
Plenty about her from her grandson Ryan. We do know that
She was loved by many. So fortunate for Emma and Ryan
To have had a relationship with their GiGi. We know she loved
Them as much as they loved her. She will always be in their
Hearts.

I can’t even express how much I love the memories of Manor Drive to most recently Ashley’s wedding and the love I have for both Bo and Marvel. Sleepover, campus, ranch weekend, tube rides down the drive and street, hot pool days, donuts, kickball, bike rides to the black line and the list goes on. I will always remember Marvels sweet smile (even if we did something wrong) and her way to deliver her love or punishment. Bo and Marvel have been a second family to me all my life and I will miss Marvel like Bo has been missed. The memories will live forever through our stories and pictures. Sending you all my love.
