Memorial services for Jordan Abel Hernandez, 36, who passed away May 20, 2024, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville.

A native of Kerrville, Jordan was born March 2, 1988. He and his family were active members of Grace Bible Chapel and Southern Oaks Baptist Church and were the founders of Kerrville's ''Thanks for Truckers'' ministry, serving Thanksgiving Dinner to I-10 truck drivers for more than ten years.

Jordan graduated from Grace Christian Academy in Kerrville. He attended St. Phillip's College in San Antonio, Texas, earning recognition on the President's List for academic achievement. It was during his automotive training at St. Phillip's that Jordan identified his aptitude in mechanical work - a talent that led to his restoring classic cars and shaped his career as a licensed water treatment technician with AQUA-MAN Water Conditioning of Boerne.

Jordan's family and friends will remember his bright smile and the sound of his laughter, his genuine nature, his unforgettable phone conversations, his love for people and animals, and - most importantly - his faith in Jesus Christ.

Jordan is survived by his father, Abel Hernandez; brother, Evan Hernandez; his grandmother, ''Granny'' Glenda Evans, of Kerrville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tara Evans Hernandez; grandfather, "Papa'' Roy Evans of Kerrville; and paternal grandparents of Monterrey, Mexico.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jordan be made to Grace Academy of Kerrville, 625 Washington St. Kerrville, TX 78028; or Texas Round Up Animal Alliance (TRUAA), 530 McDonald Loop, Center Point, TX 78010.

Jordan and I attended and graduated Grace Christian School together. He was such a joy to be around. Very quiet and reserved, but when he did speak, he had everyone laughing! Praying for peace and comfort for his precious family.

I remember back around 2014 we were driving down Boerne Stage Rd. going back to Aqua-Man and there was a church being built but no name was on it yet and Jordan said, "Boerne's First Church of Scientology.". That still cracks me up every time I drive by that church!
I was always amazed at Jordan's ability to remember details of jobs years past that I had forgotten about. His passing has left a big hole at Aqua-Man.
He will be greatly missed.

Well, Jordan, I wish you were here to tell me what it's like in heaven. With your talent for telling a good story, I know your version of what is happening there would be terrific. Love and blessings to a super nephew and a caring young man who left us too early.

At 25 years of age, Jordan applied at our family owned and operated company, AQUA-MAN water Conditioning in Boerne Texas. He did not have water treatment experience, but he had manners, represented himself well and appeared eager to learn. Jordan went on to become a licensed Water Treatment Specialist through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. He was well respected by our other service technicians as well as office staff, and some of our many customers requested Jordan as their service provider.

Our hearts are heavy because his chair is empty. We miss his big smile, silly antics and kind heart. Jordan was extremely honest, hardworking and always available to lend a hand. He was the perfect example of a truly good human. We love and miss him dearly, but we are comforted in knowing God has a plan for Jordan.

Jordan,
Just days before your passing I was thinking of you. Three Days, later I was informed of your Sudden passing. I was very shock and saddened.
You were in our Family for many years and you were like a nephew to us. I remember all the funny things you did and how we laughed each and every time we had a get together. One of the best memories and funniest story was a 4th of July, at our house, at the coast. The shrimping trip at midnight with Joe, Kevin and a few others. (Eddie opted out of going). Repurposing a broken ice cooler we picked up on the side of the road, on the way back from Goose Island.
So many great memories and fun adventures.
Rest in peace, Jordan

Our prayers and Condolences to the Family.
