Agnes Viola Hawkins, of Ingram, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Viola was born on June 24, 1940, in Sugden, Oklahoma, to Charlie Elijah Sisk and Bertha Faye Minyard Sisk.

When she was two years old Viola, her parents and older sister moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. Viola attended school from elementary to high school in Ft. Worth, graduating at Diamond Hills - Jarvis High School in 1958.

In 1984, Viola and James moved to Del Rio, Texas. Viola was a member of Central Church of Christ and worked for Walmart. In 1996, they moved to Ingram, Texas.

Viola attended Kerrville Church of Christ until she became a shut in. She often taught Sunday school, and you could find her rocking sweet babies in the nursery.

Viola was loved by many. She was a strong believer in Christ and avidly prayed for those she loved. She told her daughter recently that she prayed for her family members every night specifically by name. She was a fierce prayer warrior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bertha Sisk; her husband, James Hawkins; older sister, Margaret Hutsell; her brother, Charles Sisk; and her youngest son, Daniel Allen.

I really didn’t know you that well since I’d only met you a few times, but from what I did see you seem like a really nice person.
