Shirley Secor Rogers, 79, of Ingram, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband, two sons, and her close friend Jody. She was born May 31, 1945, to parents Ollie Mae and William T. ''Bill'' Secor. She grew up at the family-owned tourist camp on the Guadalupe River, Waltonia Lodges. She graduated from Tivy HS, class of 1963, and Angelo State University with BA and MBA Accounting.

She loved spending time with her family and friends at the family ranch in Crockett County and at her home near the Guadalupe River between Ingram and Hunt. She enjoyed swimming in the river, managing cattle and wildlife at the ranch, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

She worked for many years and retired from Coca Cola, San Angelo. Afterwards, she served as a director of a foundation that generously provided funding for worthy causes in the communities they served.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 51 years, Don; her children, Tavis and Tally ''TJ''; four grandchildren, Nathan, Tristan, Avery and Trevor; her brother, Edward (wife, Sherry) Secor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae and Bill; and brother, Thornton.

The family would like to thank the staff of Peterson Hospice for their excellent care and support.

Prayers are with you all as you adjust to life here without our sweet Shirley! She was a great friend to our family and will be missed. So many wonderful memories were made. The Guadalupe will always be her special place. Mother and I and the girls are thinking of you all.

We always loved going to the ranch to hang out with Don and Shirley. Our grandkids loved to see all the animals. Out friendship predates their marriage and our marriage. Shirley will be missed by all who had the pleasure to be her friend.
