Leland Neal Carmichael, age 84, passed from this life to eternal life with Jesus on July 27, 2024. Leland loved the LORD, he loved his family, and he loved his Trinity Church family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

After graduating Baylor, Leland became Baylor's biggest fan of all Baylor sports, especially football. He worked as a statistician for the State of Texas Health Department for 36 years. On retirement, he returned to his beloved hometown of Kerrville. He had a love of the game of golf and his golfing buddies. For over 20 years, Leland volunteered and enjoyed working at CAM.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Virginia Dale Carmichael; his three children, Ken Black (Debbie), Kimberly Lazaroff (Greg), and Kirk Black (Paulina); six grandchildren, Justin, Clint, Kaylene, Julianne, Ashley and Madali; six great-grandchildren, Kiley, Amerie, Korbin, Virginia, Sawyer and Luke. He is also survived by two sisters, Alice Royalty (Max) and Ruth King.

His family was blessed to have had such a loving, gentle soul in their lives.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. John Wheat.

We will certainly miss Leland.. I loved his jokes and talking about our time at Tivy High School. We volunteered together at CAM and enjoyed his witty personality. Our prayers are with you and his family ❤️
