Frank Hardey was born in 1927 in Kendleton, Fort Bend County, Texas, and passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas.
He was the 5th child of 6 of Rodney and Mary Hardey. The family moved to the East Texas oilfield in 1932. Frank worked in the oilfield in various jobs. He graduated from the New London High School. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and was discharged after the War. He attended the University of Houston and was employed by Shell Oil Company.
Frank and Beatrice were married in 1950, for 72 years. They had no children but had 36 nieces and nephews.
Bea and Frank retired and moved to Kerrville in 1987. Both did numerous volunteer work including the Chamber of Commerce and Notre Dame Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 76 years as a 4th Degree member.
Bea and Frank spent a lot of their time in Rockport, Texas as he loved to fish and hunt. They traveled quite a bit to visit friends and relatives. They were the two remaining survivors of both families.
