He was preceded in death by his wife, Red Anderson. Together they had significant achievements and met equally significant challenges throughout their 44 years together. Rarely was one seen without the other at home, church, social gatherings, and work.
He will be remembered by many, to include friends made in the states, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Canada and all the locations he lived. He is survived by his grandchildren, Dakota, Weslyn, and Kaileigh; his sister, Connie and brother-in-law, John; and his nephew, Zachery. Also, his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kyle, Brandi, and Kendra.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort TX. Burial will be held privately at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to all those friends that assisted and cared for him during his final days. They went above and beyond to help Mark in countless ways, at all hours of the day and night. There were no limits to their willingness to tackle any task that needed to be done, and they did each one with an outpouring of love for him.

Mark was a true gentleman, a friend and fellow motorcyclist. He & Red went on many rides with the STAR MC. Mark served as president of this club as well. Always very kind, pro-active with our "Feed the Children" endeavor. First to lend a helping hand & always first to get us laughing!
We were on an over-night ride to Nacogdoches one time and at daylight Mark was there with a bull horn outside our hotel, waking us all with noises & jeers. (Not sue the other guests appreciated it, lol). He did manage to auction the bull horn off a few times to raise money for our cause - many wanted to buy it to get it out of his hands.
Mark, rest with Red in peace & keep the bull horn low my friend!

Mark was such a nice person. I knew him at GTE
and always saw him with a smile. We shared some
of the same love of music including Ronny James Dio
of Rainbow.
He will be missed but remembered fondly. Prayers to his family
during this difficult time.

Mark and Red were one of the most wonderful couples that I have met in Notre Dame Parish in Kerrville. I used to call them ROJITOS, because “Red in Spanish is ROJO. I always received great support in my ministry as Priest from them. I wish my best for them in Heaven with the Lord and Virgin Mary

Mark was a blessing to my family for many years. He spoke at my mother's funeral and of course, made us all laugh with his story of not liking beans but he loved my mother's beans. What a classic gentleman and valuable friend. He'll be missed and remembered forever.

I will fondly remember Mark’s relentless humor and unrivaled kindness. The tallest reed bends the farthest - and Mark always showed that kind of humility to all.

Thank you for being a great leader, a good boss, an exemplary mentor. You filled our lives with joy, laugh and love, and also with a sense of responsibility and making this world a better place. May you rest in peace, the peace you were always seeking and how you ended all your messages. It was an honor to be your assistant, your friend, your mentee.
Oh, mi querido jefecito, you will be missed. Thanks for all the love to our family.
