Dale was a proud graduate of Lakeview High School in San Angelo, Texas in 1971. He dedicated himself to his work, beginning his woodworking career at BC Fogle Wood Mill. He later spent 5 years at Shannon Hospital. After moving to Kerrville, Dale and his wife opened their own woodworking business called Hill Country Custom Woodwork and ran that for 7 years. Before retirement, Dale spent 12 years at James Avery. His craftsmanship and work ethic were admired by many.
Dale's greatest pride and joy was his family. For 30 wonderful years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Kathy Hunt. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Sherina Hunt of Austin, Texas, and son, Daniel Hunt, and his partner, Heather Cox, also of Austin, and the mother of his children, Leilani Pinard of Midland, Texas. He was a devoted stepfather to his stepsons, Ryan Bowman from San Antonio, Texas, and Christopher Bowman from Kerrville, Texas. Dale is remembered by his brothers, David Hunt and his wife Eunice from Boise Idaho, and Don (Butch) Hunt and his wife Bonnie from San Angelo, Texas, along with his sisters, Patty McKenzie from San Angelo, Texas, and Sue Bruton and her husband, Jerry, from Paducah, Texas.
Dale's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Justin Hunt of Sandia, Texas, and Allyson Stone of San Angelo; Ethan and Abby Bowman from Deer Park, Texas, along with their mother, Nikki Croix; Katya Bowman and her mother, Jennifer Yeager from Austin, Texas; and his great-granddaughter, Audrey Clark of San Angelo, Texas. He leaves behind his precious mother and father-in-law, Harold and Charlynn Whalen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Friday, October 18, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of Dale's life will take place at Trinity Baptist Church on Saturday, October 19, at 3:00 PM, followed by the burial at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The pallbearers will include Justin Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Brandon and Brock Tinney, Christopher Bowman, Ryan Bowman, and Ethan Bowman.
Dale was a kind-hearted, God-fearing man who always went above and beyond to help those in need. His patience and kindness guided his family on their journey with the Lord. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to our Trinity Church family for their unwavering support, spiritually, emotionally, and physically during this difficult time.
Dale touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and the world was a better place with him in it. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Memorials can be made to the Trinity Baptist Church music ministry.

A lot of fond memories of Dale and Kathy at FBC Kerrville. Dale was a kind and gentle man, a good husband and father, a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dale will be missed here as all good men are, but he is at rest in the Father's house with his Savior and Lord. May the God of all comfort, comfort you, Kathy and family and friends through these next days ahead. Love you. Tooter and Starr Bowlin
