Norma Laverne (Land) Cabaniss passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024. Married to Donald Edward Cabaniss. They had 3 daughters and four grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents Hulon and Ola Mae; younger brother Keith; grandson, Corey; and brother-in-law Jimmy. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands; Debra and Sid; Laura and Ron; Donna and Steven; grandchildren Kelsey, Charles, and Dalton; her sister Joan, nieces Lisa, Melanie, Kara and Heather; and nephews Jason, Shane, Ryan, Reagan, and Kyle; and sister-in-law Carla.
Norma worked at Joske's in the shoe department in downtown San Antonio, managed the BX at Lackland AFB, worked for HEB in San Antonio, as a bookkeeper for Bill's Auto Supply in Kerrville, and for the Turtle Creek Community Church in Kerrville. Norma was an excellent cook, loved reading books, gardening, traveling, sewing, and making jewelry for family and friends. She was a beautiful, loving Mother and best friend with a generous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Private graveside services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Turtle Creek Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe.
Memorials may be made to the Turtle Creek Community Church, New Century Hospice, or the Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville.
