Keith was born in Dundee, Ohio in 1936, and lived his early life in Florida. He worked summers with his father, a general contractor, in St. Pete, Florida.
Keith joined the United States Air Force in 1955 and served until 1963.
He graduated from Florida Beacon College with 2 majors--a Bachelor of Divinity, and a Bachelor of Theology. At Trinity College, he received his Bachelor of Arts in religious education and was then ordained to ministry in 1962. In 1988, Keith received his Doctor of Divinity from Trinity College.
Keith married Yvonne Haynes on December 18, 1964. They moved to Comfort, Texas in 1968 to pastor a small church. In 1972, moved to Kerrville and began Grace Bible Chapel where Keith pastored, and taught. My wife, Judy, and I were very sad to recently learn of Keith's passing. Kerrville Bible Chapel was one of the first churches I taught at after beginning my service with Chosen People Ministries over 25 years ago and the first church to partner with our ministry shortly thereafter. I will always remember my visits over the years, which Keith was a significant part of. I discovered quickly that he had a deep love for God's Word, which is what informed and inspired his deep love and faithful support for Israel and the Jewish people.
I wish I could say that there dozens of men like Keith that I have had the pleasure of getting acquainted with over the years, but that has not been the case. Keith was a man of God that other men of God aspire to be. Faithful, humble, wise, and tender-hearted. I am grateful to have been one of those men who knew and looked up to him, and to have also had the pleasure of feeling like an extension of the Kerrville Bible Chapel family that Keith was a central figure of. I will deeply treasure that connection and those memories for the rest of my life, including that time that Keith taught me how to fire a handgun in his shooting range. That was a moment that a city-slicker like me can never forget.
Our hearts go out to Yvonne, his children and grandchildren and to the entire Kerrville Bible Chapel family. We mourn his departure with you, but look forward to the reunion that awaits those who are in Christ. May the memory of Keith and his legacy be blessing to you all for generations to come. J&J

So many wonderful thoughts of Keith and Yvonne. Keith was a big help in our early ministry and so glad I got to talk to him before he went to heaven. My prayers are with the family because this is not an easy time. I’m sure he and my Don are rejoicing in heaven.

Our hearts are so heavy to hear of the passing of our dear Brother Keith. Sending our deepest condolences, love and prayers, to Von and the family. We are eternally grateful to our Heavenly Father who blessed our family with such an anointed, gifted grace teacher, who also, never failed to bring out the Gospel in every teaching he taught from scripture. We still listen to Bro Keith’s teachings and read his book, “The Lord’s Freedom”, which still teaches us & carries such weight in our lives that has brought such growth in grace to fall more & more in love with our Lord. We love Bro Keith & he will be deeply missed. Love in Him, the Mendoza family. Ps.116:15 & 2 Cor. 5:8

For 25 years that I know about, Keith went from Genesis 1:1 - Revelation 22:21 every sermon. Each sermon was a Sword Drill for the Berean Christian. If you couldn’t find Obadiah and Philemon as quickly as you could find Genesis and Psalms you were having to catch up.
The first of two preachers that convinced me the Bible had something to say about everything. And he did it all before computers, internet, and search engines. With just the Bible, Strong’s Concordance, and Lexicons.
He took the responsibility to teach 2Timothy 3:16-17 to the highest level. Every sermon weaved in that it was the “shed blood” only that would get you into heaven and not your own righteousness. And was phenomenally accurate about everything to do with Israel and its future in the late 60s.
By his own admission loved the sound of pages turning in the congregant’s Bibles while he was teaching.
He was a patriot but knew heaven was his home.
My sympathy and condolences.
