Martha was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Bryan Blakeley and Brenda Blakeley, and a wonderful stepmother to Kathy Kies Tautenhahn. She was a cherished grandmother to Shelby Yates, Andrew Tautenhahn, and Taylor Tautenhahn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas James and Harriett Osborne Macredie, her first husband, Bill Blakeley, her second husband, Buddy Kies, and her brother, Jim Macredie.
Martha dedicated many years of her professional life to the banking industry before transitioning to roles at the Kerrville State Hospital and Peterson Regional Medical Center, where she served as a Volunteer Coordinator and later as a realtor. She had a passion for serving her community and was always willing to lend a helping hand when there was a need. Martha also deeply loved animals and volunteered with several organizations dedicated to their care.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels, and a funeral service will occur at 10 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Martha's giving spirit.
The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to Comfort Nursing and Rehab, Peterson Hospice, Johnny Grimes and the team at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Martha will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of kindness and service will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Martha was introduced to Tim and I when we moved to Kerrville 12 years ago by the Peterson HR department. She was introduced to us as a guide to find a home and get to know Kerrville. She quickly went from wonderful ambassador to my first Kerrville friend. Martha was open, friendly, and had a beautiful warm presences. I deeply appreciate all the attributes Martha poured into others that make them feel comforted by her presences. God's peace and love to her family and friends. Gretchen and Tim Rye
