Bettie S Lemons of Kerrville, TX, went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 19, 2025. She was born August 7 to the parents of Hebron and Ozelle Scarborough in Athens, TX. She was married to John E Lemons on September 7 in Tyler TX.
Bettie graduated high school from La Poynor High School in Poynor, TX. She went on to get her nursing degree as an RN. She then taught nursing school before going to work at Medical Center Hospital in Tyler.
Bettie was passionate about prayer and began the Prayer Ministry at several churches before she moved to Kerrville. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church at the time of passing.
Bettie S Lemons was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, John E Lemons.
Survivors include daughter, Kellee and husband George 'Tres' Parish of Kerrville; sister, Margaret Neal of Flint TX; and lots of extended family.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday February 21, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Burial services will be held in East Texas.
Memorials may be given to the 'building fund' at Trinity Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to all the staff at Hilltop Nursing Home for their amazing care of Bettie.

Our deepest condolences with the going
home to glory of a long time friend Bettie.
She served for many years in the prayer
ministry of FBCUC and had such an impact
in the many lives she touched.
I remembered the many prayer walks we
had throughout the years and how God
answered those prayers!
