Noreen "Joan" Parker, 87, of Harper, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Kerrville. She was born in Montreal, Canada to William and May O'Donnell on October 20, 1937. She married Joe Donnis Parker on February 27, 1960, at Plattsburgh Air Force Base in New York and they were married for 63 years.

She graduated from Soeur-Sainte-Anne-Marie High School of Montreal. After graduation, she joined the Canadian Army and served for two years. After marrying Joe Parker, she moved to the Hill Country in Texas and became a citizen of the United States September 8, 1966. She worked at the Kerrville State Hospital as a nurse's aide for many years. Once Joe retired, they moved to their family ranch in Harper and lived there for approximately 40 years. She worked alongside her husband on the ranch and loved to have family over for gatherings. She loved being a grandmother and would have grandchildren over for weekends as often as she could.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Parker; parents, William and May O'Donnell; siblings, Kenneth, Ralph, Lillian and Margaret.

Survivors include sons, Christopher (Carla) and Edward (Angela); brother, Clifford O'Donnell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Monday, March 3, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Deacon Jimmy Bill officiating. Burial will follow at Knoxville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Coleton Parker, Nathan Lackey, Alden Lackey, Jacob Farnot, Haydon Yider and Ed Knight.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Embrace Hospice, Darla, Rachel, Christine, Camaran and Dr. Shaw and Dr. Givens.
