Mary Virginia Robinson, 103 years old, of Kerrville passed away on March 14, 2025, in Kerrville. She was born on November 6, 1921, in Calvert County, MD, to John Thomas Cranford and Virginia Emma Rotan. She married Ralph O. Robinson in July of 1945 in Silver Spring, MD.
Virginia graduated from high school in Washington, DC, having attended public schools in Calvert County, MD. She was a lifelong learner, completing numerous courses through the years in Bishop Method sewing, pattern drafting, couture design, and other sewing and costume-related techniques. She sewed and made costumes for theaters in the Washington DC area and Kerrville.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 2008. Survivors include her children, Marilyn Robinson Jasper and husband Steve Jasper, Linda Sue Robinson and husband Charles Clark. Grandchildren include Steven Jasper Jr., Angela McManus and husband Drew, Cathleen Jasper and husband Ron Williams, Liz Armbruester and husband Mike, Cathy Cangiano and husband Jim. Great-Grandchildren include Broden Vincent, Angus Vincent, Justin Armbruester, Will Armbruester, Jimmy Cangiano, and Lauren Cangiano.
Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 on Monday, March 17 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 the same day and place. Private burial will follow.
Memorials may be given to Hill Country Caring Crafters or to Hill Country Youth Ranch.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Virginia's medical providers, to the wonderful staff at Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront, to the staff at Peterson Hospital and Peterson Hospice, and to the staff at Riverview Nursing Home, all in Kerrville. Also, thanks go to Virginia's friends at Juniper Village and around Kerrville, including members of Hill Country Caring Crafters, in which she was active for years.
