Johnnie Joann (Bull) Broach of Kerrville, Texas, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on March 21, 2025. She was born in Amarillo, Texas to Percy Emil and Thelma Violet Bull on July 14, 1935. She married Hurley C. Broach, Jr. on December 24, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas in front of the Christmas tree at their pastor's house.

Joann was a homemaker and kept the home going as she and Hurley moved all over the United States in his job as a helicopter/aircraft mechanic and inspector. After the children were all grown and moved out, she and Hurley moved to Egypt, Greece and Cyprus where his work took him. During that time, they were able to travel throughout Europe as well.

She was active in serving the Lord at First Baptist Church in Kerrville as a volunteer and in the Joyful Sound Choir. She also accompanied Hurley to visit people at Peterson Hospital where he was a lay chaplain.

Joann was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her sisters: Edith Miller, Lavera Adams, Patsy Roberts, and Elizabeth Woodhouse; her beloved husband, Hurley Broach, Jr.; daughters, Kay Dawn Broach and Lutitia Eileen Linberg.

She is survived by her son, Clifford Broach of Houston; daughter, Jane Rucker and husband Jerald of Kerrville along with his family; sister-in-law, Mary Jane McCaslin; grandchildren: Dawn Holowiha and husband, Craig of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Cassandra Lashendock and husband, Robert also of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Daniel Linberg and wife, Ashley of Middleburg, Florida; great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Holowiha; Elizabeth Lashendock; and Junior, Cody and Rosie Linberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She loved her family unconditionally and we will miss her sweet and gentle spirit and are thankful for the legacy of faith and love she left.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Kerrville, Texas with Pastor Joey Tombrella officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Joann to First Baptist Church for their local missions.
