In Loving Memory of Virginia Lou Woods (Ginger Woods)
Ginger Woods was born on December 19, 1944, in Houston, Texas, to John B. and Adda R. Templeton Moyers. She went to meet Jesus on March 22, 2025.
Ginger grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Milby High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin. She later pursued her passion for physical therapy at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, earning her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
A dedicated and compassionate professional, Ginger worked in the hand therapy center at Washington University. She went on to serve as a physical therapist and director at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, IL for 20 years, touching countless lives with her expertise and kindness. In 1994, she and Frank moved to Kerrville, where she continued her career at Peterson Hospital for seven years.
On July 22,1972, Ginger married the love of her life, Frank Woods, and together they built a beautiful life, celebrating 52 years of marriage. Their shared love of adventure took them across the country, often behind the wheel of their beloved Suburban, ''the Duke.'' Other times they embraced the open road with a spirit of freedom and joy on a Honda Goldwing motorcycle.
Ginger's love of family was undeniable. She loved holding babies, playing board games - especially dominos - as she created cherished memories.
Ginger was a longtime member of Friendship Bible Church, where her faith and kindness enriched the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Joan Moyers and Penny Moyers; her parents, John B. and Adda R. Templeton Moyers. She is survived by her husband, Frank C. Woods; her brother, Jim (Kay) Moyers; his children, Lisa (John) Carswell and Douglas (Audrea) Moyers; brother-in-law, Dennis (Kathy) Woods and family. She loved many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pregnancy Resource Center, 718 Alpine Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028; or Friendship Bible Church, 413 Lois Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
Visitation: Friends may call at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, TX.
Funeral: Funeral service following at 2:00pm on Saturday with Mark Rylander officiating.
