It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved, Adam Jay Gonzales Sr., on April 6, 2025, at the age of 46.

Adam was born on September 20, 1978 in Holland, MI, to Mariano Cabrera and Gloria (nee Gonzales) Wheatfall. Adopted as a child, he was lovingly raised in a nurturing environment from the age of 3 months by maternal grandparents, Guadalupe and Sara (nee Moreno) Gonzales, whom cherished him as their own.

Though he faced many difficulties in life, Adam's spirit was one of resilience and joy, always shining a light on those around him. He had a heart full of love and never lost the playful inner child in him. He was always quick to give the shirt off his back and quick to give a helping hand to those in need.

Adam is survived by his common-law wife, Patricia J White; son, Kevin White; daughter, Jade Gonzales and partner Martin; son, Adam J Gonzales Jr.; granddaughter, Isabela Talavera.

Adam is also survived by his birth mother, Gloria Wheatfall and husband, Rudy; siblings, Samantha Wheatfall, Trey Wheatfall, Sophia Cabrera Maes and Joshua Wheatfall; and several nieces and nephews.

Adam was preceded in death by his adoptive parents (grandparents), Guadalupe and Sara Gonzales; uncle, Joe Maldonado; and birth father, Mariano Cabrera.

A private funeral viewing is under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson St., Kerrville, TX.

Memorial service will be held on April 28, 2025 at Calvary Temple Church, 3000 TX-534 Loop, Kerrville, TX 78028.
